Our Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is a post-graduate program that requires a previous bachelor’s degree and the completion of seven prerequisite courses. By enrolling in Social Development Studies (BA), you can earn your degree and complete the prerequisites to begin your BSW within a few years. You may also be eligible to transfer credits toward your degree.

Social Work graduates can now apply for conditional admission to the University of Waterloo’s Bachelor of Social Work program. Admission requires a bachelor’s degree in social development studies.

Applicants who have earned a Bachelor of Arts degree (or equivalent) more than four years prior to application and do not meet the minimum requirement of 70% overall average will be eligible for the Bachelor of Social Work degree upon completion of the prerequisite courses.
